We’re all connected, often in surprising ways. Find out more Wednesday, Oct. 19.

The event features Nicolas Haque, a journalist based in Senegal, and Tony Bartelme, senior projects reporter for The Post and Courier. They’ll take you to Western Africa, where rising seas are raising new challenges – just as they are here. And to Greenland, a distant land of ice that very well could decide the fate of coastal South Carolina. Both journalists are winners of the Covering Climate Now Journalism Awards and will be featured in the upcoming WORLD channel broadcast BURNING QUESTIONS: Covering Climate Now.

Moderated by Public Service & Watchdog Editor Glenn Smith.

The Greenland Connection was made possible by generous support from the Pulitzer Center, the Fund for Investigative Journalism and The Post and Courier Investigative Fund.

Introducing our guest panelist, Nicolas Haque, Correspondent with Al Jazeera English:

Nicolas Haque is an award-winning roving news correspondent based out of Dakar, Senegal. His reporting documented the impact of climate change on a coastal community and UNESCO world heritage site in Senegal, where tens of thousands of people have been uprooted by rising sea levels.
