Event Summary

Tax referendums to pay for transportation projects will be on the November ballot in Beaufort and Jasper counties. Between the two measures, the counties are seeking to raise about $1.5 billion over the next 10-15 years for road improvements.

The measures are designed to work hand in hand because of the close proximity of the neighboring counties. Join The Post and Courier and Coastal Community Foundation for a panel discussion at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 24. as we dive into what’s at stake and what you need to know to make an informed decision.

A vote either way will have long-term consequences for residents of both counties.

Light refreshments will be served followed by a discussion co-moderated by Post and Courier Beaufort senior reporter Tony Kukulich and Post and Courier Managing Editor Jason Cato.

Input and engagement are welcome from attendees during a planned question-and-answer segment. The event is free and open to the public, but you must register to attend. Doors will open at 5 p.m.
