Event Summary
Best of Prep Sports is a unique and powerful event that highlights the wide-ranging and outstanding performance of local high school athletes on the field, in the classroom and in the community.
We are proud to welcome former University of South Carolina Heisman Trophy winner George Rogers. Rogers will be in attendance for a question-and-answer session about lessons he's learned and memories he's made throughout his career.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. General admission tickets may be purchased for $35 and include hor d'oeuvres, the awards ceremony and presentation by George Rogers. General admission seating is first come, first served in proximity to the speaker.
Best of Prep Sports athletes will receive an invitation with instructions to claim their free ticket.

Honor a select group of student-athletes at Moultrie News' 2019 Best of Prep Sports event.
Featuring Celebrity Guest George Rogers
Rogers played college football for the University of South Carolina, earned All-America honors, and won the 1980 Heisman Trophy. He was the first overall pick in the 1981 NFL Draft. He was a three-time Pro Bowl selection and Super Bowl XXII champion.
The Moultrie News’ inaugural Best of Prep Sports awards ceremony honored more than 50 of the very best high school athletes and coaches from the East Cooper coverage area last May at Alhambra Hall. Athletes from 22 sports from eight different schools were individually recognized along with the recipients of seven other distinguished honors. Nearly 200 attended the event.
