During the last century, sea levels in Charleston rose at a rate of an inch every decade. Now it’s an inch every four years. The Rising Waters Lab documents severe flooding events with a mix of breaking news and deep investigative reporting that captures the human and economic toll in broad relief. The Lab will also continue to explore a regular drumbeat of coverage focused on the crisis point we are facing on the SC coast.

Please join Susan Lyons and The Post and Courier at a special invitation-only fundraising event to learn more about a new journalistic effort, supported by Susan and the Fund, to focus exclusively on flooding.

There will be a conversation with Editor in Chief Autumn Phillips, and Senior Projects Reporter Tony Bartelme. Followed by a Q&A.
